The 5th annual Shinsedai Cinema Festival will be taking place between July 11th and July 14th, 2013 in Toronto. Once again, we will be looking for new independent films from Japan. Any type of film can be submitted -- drama, comedy, documentary, animated, experimental, feature length or short film. The important thing is that the film is independently produced in Japan. Submissions for the 5th Shinsedai Cinema Festival open on Wednesday, October 17th, 2013.
All feature films (or collections of short films by a single director) with a running over 60 minutes and produced after 2009 will be eligible to win the Shinsedai Audience Award, a prize of $1,000 Canadian (approximately ¥78,500).

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
The submission deadline for the 2013 Shinsedai Cinema Festival is March 1st, 2013. All submissions must be postmarked on or before this date.
All films must be submitted on DVD and have English subtitles. The title of the film, director's name and contact email and screening format must be written in English on the DVD itself. Supporting information or press kits are welcome.
This year small fees will be charged for each film submitted to the Shinsedai Cinema Festival: $50 Canadian dollars for each feature film, $20 Canadian dollars for short films. (Short films are any films with a running time of less than 30 minutes. Up to three short films can be submitted on one DVD.) *Submission fees must be sent as a cheque or money order with your DVD. Submissions fees are non-refundable.
The Shinsedai Cinema Festival accepts the following screening formats: DVD, Blu-ray, HDcam (but not HDcamSR), Digibeta. *DCP format will be considered on a case by case basis.
If you need to have your DVD returned to you please indicate it on the DVD and include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
2013年度 新世代映画祭 上映作品募集中！
第５回新世代映画祭は、2013年7月11日から14日までカナダ、トロントにて開催されます。日本の優れたインデ ペンデント映画を発掘、紹介する映画祭です。今年もドラマ、コメディ、ドキュメンタリー、アニメーション、実験映画、長編・短編映画、ショートフィルムコ レクションなど、あらゆるジャンルの作品を募集します。唯一の応募条件は、日本の自主制作映画であることです。2013年10月17日より作品の受付を開 始いたします。
出展作品の中で、上映時間が60分を超える長編、または単独監督によるショートフィルムコレクションはすべて、「新世代オーディエンスアワード」の候補となります。賞金は、1000カナダドル（日本円約78,500）です。
トロントにて未上映で、第５回新世代映画祭にて上映希望の映画がございましたら、下記の応募ガイドラインをお読みの上、以下の住所まで応募いただきますようお願いいたします。

提出ガイドライン
2013年新世代映画祭・提出期限： 2013年3月1日 消印有効
必ず英語字幕付きDVDにて提出してください。映画タイトル、監督名、連絡先メールアドレス、上映フォーマット（35mm, HDcam, Dvcamなど）を、DVD上に英語で明記してください。補足情報やプレスキットも大歓迎です。
恐縮ですが、今年度より長編作品に は$50(￥3,925)、短編作品(上映時間30分以下)には$20(￥1,570)の応募料を頂戴いたします。短編作品は1本のDVDにつき3本まで 応募可能です。応募料は小切手か郵便為替にてお送りください。なお応募料に関しましては、審査結果に関わらず払い戻しができませんので、ご了承ください。
新世代映画祭にて上映可能なフォーマットは、DVD, Blu-ray, HDcam (HDcamSR不可)、Digibeta. とさせて頂きます。DCPフォーマットは、すべて再生可能とは限りません。ご了承ください。
DVD返却ご希望の場合は、その旨を明記の上、DVD返信用封筒（切手貼付、宛名明記）を同封してください。
